Submerged I - Study

"Submerged I" is a study in immersion — a suspended, luminous instant where body and water dissolve into pattern and light. From an overhead vantage the figure unfurls, limbs soft with buoyancy while ripples and bubbles braid identity into the turquoise field. The painting explores how water refracts form and memory, turning gesture into shifting color and rhythm. Painted with layered brushwork and translucent glazes, Submerged I asks the viewer to linger inside that quiet, altered place between sinking and surfacing.
